Our Story

Built because the intake wait isn't a quirk, it's the broken part

Lullgrove started with a simple observation: most EAPs work fine once you're in. The problem is the three weeks before that.

Mission

Why triage comes first

The current EAP intake model wasn't designed badly, it was designed for a different era. When EAPs were built around in-person counseling and limited networks, a two-to-three week intake process was just logistics. The phone tree, the intake form, the waiting for a callback: each step made sense individually. Together, they created a gap that matters most exactly when someone needs help most.

What we kept seeing, across different employer contexts and different EAP providers, was the same structural failure: the moment an employee says "I need help" and the moment they receive any meaningful response are separated by weeks. During those weeks, crises deepen. Moderate stress becomes acute distress. People who might have engaged with a self-help program at the right moment have instead been sitting with a half-completed intake form wondering if it's worth it.

Lullgrove isn't trying to replace therapists or EAP coverage. We chose to solve the routing layer, the decision about what kind of care someone needs and when, because that's where the structural gap lives. Get the routing right at first contact, and everything downstream works better: the therapist gets better-prepared clients, the self-help programs get engaged participants, and the employer gets utilization data they can actually act on.
